4 Buttercream recipes i recommend for piping flowers.

Create beautiful buttercream flower designs with ease using my specially crafted recipes. I developed these recipes because I have to work my buttercream around the heat and humidity in tropical Malaysia.

I have tried countless recipes, experimented so many methods, and finally I have arrived at these recipes that work for me in terms of taste and stability for flower piping.

These recipes were developed to withstand the tropical weather a little longer than the regular recipes coupled with my tips of keeping them in shape.

None of these recipes is American buttercream.

2 of the recipes are meringue based (contain eggs); and 2 are eggless. They are all non gritty and far less sweeter than your regular American buttercream.

  1. Nicole's Blossom Buttercream is quick to make, eggless, slight glossy
  2. Whipped buttercream is slightly glossy, less buttery, eggless, minimum sweetness and only 2 ingredients!
  3. Nicole's Italian Buttercream (NIBC1) Type 1 is slight glossy and butter rich, takes longer to churn, meringue based.
  4. Nicole's Italian Buttercream (NIBC2) Type 2 has a matt-ish finishing, lighter texture, churns faster than NIBC1, meringue based.

I am cautious of sugar intake, therefore, for all the recipes, I have reduced the sweetness to the lowest I could, without affecting the desired texture of the buttercream.
